In their own words...

Physicists, engineers, technicians, administrators, students... during the past half century a long list of people from all over the world have come to work at CERN,seeking answers to fundamental questions about the Universe.

Here, some of them give their personal accounts of the most memorable events since CERN’s foundation in 1954, and also look ahead at what is to come. They bring to life a laboratory for fundamental particle physics research – telling the story of a great human adventure.

The accounts all come from Infinitely CERN: Memories from 50 years of research, a book published in celebration of CERN’s 50th anniversary (Editions Suzanne Hurter 2004).
